UP TET 2026 ( Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state level examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC). The purpose of this exam is to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in secondary and higher secondary schools of the state. This exam is for those candidates who are interested in becoming teachers in government schools in Uttar Pradesh.

The UPTET 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2026, in an offline, multi-shift format for Paper 1 (Primary) and Paper 2 (Upper Primary). The official notification will be released on updeled.gov.in and upessc.up.gov.in, with applications expected to begin soon for candidates holding relevant teaching qualifications like B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
